Christopher's classes are thoughtful, creative, and challenging - he teaches more advanced postures in a way that feels approachable, and breaks down basic, foundational poses in a way that feels fresh. I've taken Christopher's class for years, and always leave feeling energized and more expansive. I also credit his classes for the improvement in my meditation practice, an aspect of yoga that I used to really struggle with, and have now come to enjoy. Also, his retreats are my favorite (I've attended three, more to come) - lots of yoga, chill vibes, very fun.

Christopher is the real deal. As a yoga teacher he is insightful, knowledgeable, inquisitive and fun. He keeps the yoga tradition alive and evolving because he is studied and inventive. From the earth of the body, the galaxy of the mind and the universe of the soul he is a great guide for you to find and walk your yoga path.

Christopher is one of the most thoughtful, easy teachers to practice with and study from that I’ve encountered. His work is grounded and embodied, making him easy to trust and feel safe with. His classes take me on a seamless journey where time can slow down and I have space to really sit with myself. Being on retreat with him is a joy, always too many laughs, fun adventures, and opportunity for deep practice. I crave his classes when I can’t get in a class room with him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Christopher is one of those rare teachers who can help you significantly advance your practice while creating a welcoming, fun, and inclusive space for students at all levels. I’ve been going to his classes for over five years now, but his creative sequences and new postures have kept them fresh, and I’m still learning in every class

I went on a yoga retreat in Ischia, Italy with Christopher last year. It was my first yoga retreat ever, and after my experience, I will be going on yoga retreats with Christopher for years to come! The overall retreat experience was incredibly well crafted and that is very much attributed to how Christopher planned and led the retreat. The villa we stayed at was delightful. The setting was beautiful and magical. The food was nourishing, local, and absolutely delicious. There was a perfect balance of yoga & group activities & time to explore on your own. And most importantly- the yoga was absolutely amazing. I had never taken a yoga class with Christopher before the retreat - it was a bit of a leap of faith to go on the retreat and I am so happy I discovered Christopher and since then, the yoga community he is a part of. He is a thoughtful and intentional teacher who creates a safe and inclusive practice that is also fun. The yoga was transformative for me and I felt more open emotionally and strengthened physically after the retreat. It was such a joyful experience filled with so much laughter and fun on and off the mat. Christopher leads an amazing meditation practice as well, which was just perfection being outside in nature. I overall felt very restored after my retreat - it was an incredible experience for me and so much of that is due to the experience Christopher put together. It’s a perfect way to travel and I can’t wait for my next retreat!

Christopher Golden is a gem of a yoga teacher. His depth of knowledge, years of experience, and intelligence about the practice and all of its nuance is profound. His unexpected and playful sense of humor is matched by a quality of genuine care for people which makes him one of my very favorite teachers and humans.

There are few teachers who engage the mind, imagination, and body with such finesse as Christopher.  His sequences remind me of reading a story; you can follow the narrative thread and bear witness to the creative cohesion that leaves you as satisfied as reading a delicious New Yorker article, with attention to detail and casts of poses that swoop back in at the end forming a sequence of events that make total sense.  His adjustments are intentional, powerful, and informative without being invasive. Christopher is my dear friend, but all biases aside, he is a teacher in all facets of the word and I feel so fortunate to learn from him.  bell hooks says it’s essential that teachers who ask their students to self-actualize are continuing to do so themselves.  Christopher is emotionally and intellectually on a quest to grow himself, understand himself, and meet his own resistance in order to become a teacher (and human) with great emotional facility, compassion, power, and kindness.  I trust in his teaching and humanity whole heartedly.

After years of study I started practicing with Christopher in 2018 and didn’t regularly take his classes until 2020… it’s almost as if the universe was sending some sort of sign that when the student is ready the teacher will appear! His guidance for me as a mentee has transformed my life and been such a crucial part of my productivity and growth. Christopher is available, accessible, and teaches with timeless virtue. A true teachers teacher!

Not only is Christopher a great human being, but there’s a very good chance he’s your favorite yoga teacher’s favorite yoga teacher. I’ve had the privilege of working with him in a number of capacities - from student to mentee. The depth of his knowledge, as well as the ease and creativity with which he relates it has impressed me every step of the way. His classes thread the needle between engaging and meditative; educational yet fun. You’ll find yourself in a pose you never thought possible, but he’ll make sure you’re not taking yourself too seriously along the way. What’s most impressive is everything Christopher teaches is truly embodied, (which is rare to find out there). Can’t recommend getting to one of his classes, trainings or retreats highly enough.

Christopher is a rare breed of teacher. His relaxation, depth of knowledge, and easy communication translates into packed classrooms. He is able to take off his teacher hat and put on his student hat easily. In this way he continues to deepen his well of offerings. I would call him a master teacher.

Christopher Golden is a maestro of movement and mindfulness. His sequencing resembles a harmonious symphony of poses seamlessly flowing together, creating a journey in each class that reflects his thoughtful approach. His adjustments transcend the physical, guiding practitioners to a deeper connection with their practice.
What truly distinguishes Christopher in his role as a teacher is that his methodology comes from a profound personal practice. His teaching exudes authenticity and a wealth of experience, encompassing not only the physical aspects of yoga but also the intricate spiritual and emotional dimensions, drawn from his personal voyage. I consider myself exceptionally fortunate to have him as my friend, peer, and one of my favorite teachers!

Yoga with Christopher is unique in that you’re not only getting a well-rounded workout, but his practice can also be deeply meditative or purely joyful - depending on the experience you want to have. Also, retreats with Christopher are a blast. He is thoughtful about every detail and ensures everyone is getting the most out of their experience and are about much more than just the excellent yoga classes! They can be personally transformational, social, or just an amazing time exploring a new place.

Christopher has been my teacher/mentor for over 5 years and I feel so very lucky to study with him. I’ve learned from Christopher in a variety of settings: teacher trainings, seminars/workshops, public/private classes and retreats. His classes are thoughtfully considered, rooted in a deep understanding of the intersection of anatomy, asana and meditation and how these elements impact the physical and subtle body. His instruction balances technical specifics with a sense of ease and light-hearted joy. I always leave his classes with new information as he takes great care in pulling out the nuances involved in a practice that can often be overlooked. Intentional with his instruction he leaves room for students to remain curious, create their own experience and connect the dots themselves without over explanation. Christopher does not shy away from exploring more advanced practices, whether it is asana-based or longer meditations, but he always approaches these from a place of inclusivity - meeting his students where they are at and creating a supportive space for exploration without judgement. While my preference is to practice in person, Christopher’s classes also uniquely translate in a virtual setting where you can truly feel his presence, intention and attention even through a screen or audio. Studying with Christopher has made me a better student, teacher and person. Highly recommend for any level student who wants to learn reliable and joyful techniques for life.
