Program Description:

In this 10-hour meditation immersion we will explore the art of meditation. All teachers and eager students are welcome! No prior experience is required. 

We will explore a wide range of techniques both as a means of self practice and also in the interest of considering how to teach these techniques in public classes to a wide range of students. We’ll begin at the foundation and consider the many different ways one can sit for meditation. We will also explore reclined and seated breath practices. Sprinkled in will be some movement and restorative poses as a way to illuminate the relationship of postures and poses as great preparation for sitting and breathing with ease. Expect a mix of practical theory and physical application, both lecture and conversation as well as lots of group meditation. 

The goal for this training is to create a space for students of all levels to refine, revisit, or initiate their meditation practice. We’ll dive deep into subtle body awareness and work towards creating a feeling of space and peace in the body and mind.

There is nothing quite like group meditation, come and explore!

Saturday April 20th, 2pm-4pm - Zoom

Saturday April 27th, 3pm-6pm - In Person (or Zoom) 

Sunday April 28th, 3pm-6pm - In Person (or Zoom)

Sunday May 5th, 2pm-4pm - Zoom

In Person Location:

The Curative 736 Broadway, New York, NY 10003 (Astor Place) - A yoga/meditation studio with mats and all the necessary props.

About the Schedule:

This program is being offered in a hybrid format over the course of two weeks. You can attend this training entirely online or you have the option of attending in person for 6 hours over the course of two days, Saturday April 27th, and Sunday April 28th. Meditation is a practice that requires time and consistency to begin to feel its benefits and effects. If you are unable to make a session you will have access to recordings for up to six months after the training. 

April 20th, Zoom: We will begin with group meditation and discuss the program. Individual meditation assignments will be given as a lead up to the weekend.

April 27th / 28th, In person or Zoom: These two back to back 3 hour days will give us time to dive into lots of techniques and theory, with time for conversation and practice.

May 5th, Zoom: Our final meeting will give us an opportunity to reflect on the time and material. And we will close out with group meditation.

Pricing and Sign Up:

Included with sign up are 3 pre-recorded meditations (10, 15, and 20 minutes). These recordings will used for the training and available to you for continued practice after.

Online Only: $275.00, you are signing up for the online option. You will attend all sessions on Zoom.

Hybrid, Zoom and In Person: $350.00, you are signing up for the hybrid option which includes 6 hours of in person class.
